Windy City Anesthesia the best ally for Gynecology and Fertility treatments pain-free

Gynecology and Fertility treatments can be uncomfortable or even painful. For many patients, anesthesia can help. Whether patients are going through IVF and will be going through egg retrieval and implantation, in need of an endometrial ablation, or any other gynecological procedures in-office, Windy City Anesthesia will make the procedure pain-free.

Our Anesthesiologists and CRNA’s will monitor all stages of the procedure and make sure that patients are comfortable upon waking. Patient’s do not need to put off necessary treatments due to concerns about pain.

Why would a patient want anesthesia during gynecology and fertility treatments?

For some patients, these procedures are anxiety-inducing. Patients might worry about the effectiveness of fertility treatments or the pain associated with some gynecological services.

For instance, we offer office-based anesthesia for gynecology and fertility for all of the following and more:

– LEEP operations
– Egg retrieval procedures
– Polypectomies
– Implantations
– Endometrial ablation

Not every patient needs general anesthesia for these procedures. Many patients feel more comfortable under light sedation, where they are still awake but feel more relaxed. We can discuss options with you and the patient to help you understand why a certain type of sedation might be more beneficial.

During Surgery:

– Provide continual medical assessment of the patient
– Monitor and control the patient’s vital life functions, including heart rate and rhythm, breathing, blood pressure, body temperature and body fluid balance
– Control the patient’s pain and level of consciousness to make conditions ideal for a safe and successful surgery

After Surgery:
– We will continue to monitor the patient’s condition and the effects of anesthesia. We will also take steps to ensure that any pain resulting from surgery is minimized.
